Introduction
If you are looking for a wedding photographer who captures the imagination and essence of the soul, you are at the right place. With each photograph that is taken, we strive to tell your wedding story in a creative way, capturing priceless moments and creating timeless memories of your special day. As a photographers it gives us great pleasure to capture that perfect shot that pauses time and reflects the moment. Let us help you capture those timeless poses of anticipation and togetherness, filled with romance and magic.

On your wedding day you’ll be surrounded by emotions that we can reflect in fresh and innovative ways for you both. Through a combination of classical poses and a twist of renaissance your day will be transformed into a visual storybook that’ll pick up the subtle nuances you didn’t see because you were so busy enjoying yourself.

Meeting the Couple
We like to meet the bride and groom before the wedding in a relaxed environment where we can discuss your photographs, your colours and theme. It is important that we get a feel and understanding of your expectations which helps me edit your photographs to reflect your choices.

Time Needed for Photographs
One issue that is continually raised by couples planning their wedding is the time that they need to be away from their guests for the photo session. While on one hand couples don’t want to keep their guests waiting too long for their arrival at reception, they always want to have enough time to get a great set of photographs taken with the bridal party. This is a time you’ll want to enjoy, so don’t put any undue pressure on yourselves – or the photographer for that matter – by not allowing enough time. This is especially important immediately after the formality of the ceremony: everyone will be able to breathe a sigh of relief and relax for the first time that day. This is often where we capture completely natural photos. Traditionally, most weddings follow a set format. We begin with the bride’s outfit and preparations, followed by the ceremony, not too late or the light will fade – along with wonderfully romantic photographic opportunities. Many people simply don’t realize that the sun can set as early as 5pm. If your ceremony is due to start at 3pm, you may well find yourself seriously short of time for your photo shoot.

After the Wedding
Whilst you’re away on honeymoon, let me prepare your photos so that they’re ready to be looked at on your return, this usually takes 4-6 weeks. You can then take away your photographs on disk and go through them with friends and family. We are also able to courier your disks and any prints to you. If you have ordered a wedding story book this would also be your first look at the design. Albums and Extras Savannah Studios offer a range of extras that will put the finishing touches to your special day. Our coffee table format wedding album is just superb and our most popular product. Basically it is a 40 page, hard cover, bound coffee table book of your day. It is here that you can pull all your memories together. We also offer slide shows, thank you cards, canvas printing, wide format printing, mounting and framing advice.

Bookings
A 50% non-refundable booking fee and signed contract will secure your date and book your personal photographer. The balance of payments should be made 30 days prior to the wedding. The booking fee is non-refundable, as it takes that wedding date “off the market” and this makes it nearly impossible for me to book another wedding for that same date, at another time. We take bookings a year in advance so don’t leave it too late and settle for second best on your day!

Take time to evaluate your photographer
When booking your wedding photographer and evaluating what you will be getting in product and service needs your careful consideration. It is important to look at a portfolio which should include a number of weddings. Here is a list of question you may want to ask your photographer:

  • Have you been photographing weddings for at least 5 years?
  • Do you have a professional standby photographer?
  • Do you have a backup camera? Is it a professional camera?
  • Do you have a professional studio & office?
  • Do you give the client a data DVD of all the images as they come off your camera?
  • Do you offer coffee table books, prints, canvas printing, mounts, frames, thank you cards and specialized editing?
  • Will I get colour, sepia, black & white print ready images on a CD?
  • Will I get a slideshow of my best 100 images to music to share with friends?
  • Can I have a list of references?

All of these questions we answer with a confident yes and have well over 10 Years experience and 300 successful weddings to my name. Photographs of your special day will make or break your memories don’t get mislead into thinking a mate can take fairly good pictures. Get a professional and one with a solid track record and beware of the chances.
